Your basket can grow old with you and last for generations.

Keep out of the rain or direct sun for long periods of time.
To clean, wipe down with a wet cloth or hose off, letting it dry after.
If mold appears, mix equal parts vinegar and water and wipe down affected areas, letting it dry after.
If a stick comes loose, reweave loose ends back in place or snip the stick with secateurs.
Avoid overloading to maintain integrity.
