Who is the artist behind the bunny and basket?

I commissioned Julia’s Tales to make the illustration of Bonny Bunny and the basket. It was such a pleasure to work with her and is such a joy how she made my vision come to life!

How often will you update your online shop?

I update my shop four times a year, each Solstice and Equinox.

If I order a basket, will it be perfect?

Definitely not! Each basket is handmade with natural materials and I think the imperfections make them special.

What are your baskets made out of?

All my baskets are woven with willow that grows local to me.

Where do you get your willow?

I purchase my willow from someone who grows willow for basketry locally to me. I also have two willow patches that are on their first and second year of growth. It takes about three years for them to really produce.

How long does it take you to make a basket?

It takes approximately 5-6 hours to make a basket.

Why does my basket have a curved base?

Your basket might have a curved base. As the base is made, I intentionally make it curved so it sits flat, a common technique in basketmaking. Sometimes that curve gets flattened as the basket is made depending on a lot of factors.
