The Tiny Basket Charm

A lot of people can relate to loving baskets. Myself included. 

I think it’s because basketmaking is one of the oldest crafts and all cultures have ancient weaving traditions. It’s something that connects all people and all cultures. 

I also have a love for anything miniature. Any time I come across a mini version of anything, my heart lights up. 

One day, I was struck by a thought:  why not combine my love for tiny things and my love for weaving?

And so, I would like to introduce to you, the tiny basket. 

Crafted in recycled solid gold or sterling silver on Toronto, Ontario, she’s inspired by one of my favorite baskets to weave - a simple harvest basket, timeless, functional and beautiful. 

Wear her around your neck, so you can carry a basket with you always. A talisman to remind you of your belonging to the land, your connection to others, and the beauty in the smallest of things things.
